An exceptionally rare prototype of the Leica M10-P “ASC 100 Edition”, introduced in 2019 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the American Society of Cinematographers. The special edition paired the M10-P with a distinctive gold-coloured Summicron-M 2/35mm ASPH., its design recalling the brass lens of Oskar Barnack’s original Ur-Leica. The camera was conceived as a professional tool for cinematographers, featuring two specially developed Cine Look modes and selectable cinematic aspect ratios.
The set offered here is one of only five prototypes produced during development of the edition. Both components carry the matching additional engraving “P3/5”, identifying them as prototype no.3 of five: Leica M10-P no.5555302 and Summicron-M 2/35mm ASPH. no.4755601.
Both camera and lens are in near-mint condition, showing only minimal signs of use. A particularly rare matching prototype set documenting the development of one of Leica’s most distinctive modern special editions.
