Leica M10 “Zagato” Edition – an exclusive collaboration between Leica and the Italian design house Zagato, released in 2018 and limited to just 250 sets worldwide.
The camera body is crafted from weight-reduced anodised aluminium with the signature Zagato grooved texture, creating a distinctive sculptural appearance and offering improved handling through the integrated grip. The matching Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH. lens shares the same unique finish, featuring a specially designed focusing ring and dedicated engravings.
The example offered here is an exceptionally rare late-stage NON-WORKING prototype (the camera can be turned on, but the controls on the top plate are non-operable). It also displays several subtle differences from the final production version, including a different strap-lug design, black-filled engravings and minor cosmetic variations. It is accompanied by the matching prototype Summilux-M 1.4/35mm lens, no.4721213 - prototype number P14/15, a fully working example, which also shows distinct engraving differences. Both camera and lens are preserved in mint, unused condition.
