Leica I Mod. A Elmar 'Close-Focus'
Very nice rare 10th version (see von Einem 'Die 10 Varianten der klassischen Leica I A mit Elmar 1:3.5 F=50mm'), original export model with close-focus Elmar scaled in feet, note the 'Germany' engraved on the finder and the 'open/close' on the bottom plate, still with early features as the dimmed "mushroom" shutter release and short winding knob, in good condition and working order, delivered to Ernst Leitz New York on 10.12.1928, with black painted front lens cap.
