Leica 72 18x24 Midland *

Rare original Leica 72 Midland Ontario, in mint condition and good working order, with Elmar 3.5/5cm no.970110, feet scale (front cap). The Leica 72 was the only half-frame Leica model to go into serial production, it takes 72 exposures on a regular 35mm film. Earliest experimental Leica half-frame cameras date back to the 1940s when the film was scarce and valuable. A bit more than 150 units were built at the Leitz factory in Midland, Ontario (Canada), undeniably a highly sought-after and collector’s item here in outstanding condition!
