Leica 72 18x24 Midland *

very rare and late original Leica 72 Midland Ontario, in absolutely mint condition and in working order, it has the latest serial number we have ever seen! Included, a rare matching Summarit 1.5/5cm Midland no.1246807 (only 1000 pieces produced), meter scale with very good lenses (front cap). The Leica 72 was the only half-frame Leica model to go into serial production, it takes 72 exposures on a regular 35mm film. Earliest experimental Leica half-frame cameras date back to the 1940s when the film was scarce and valuable. Only about 150 units were built at the Leitz factory in Midland, Ontario (Canada), undeniably a highly sought-after and collector’s item, here in outstanding condition!
