Kiev 15 TTL 'L. I. Brezhnev 75 Years'

Unique outfit '75 Let L. I. Brezhnev Fotokomplekt 19/XII/1981', camera body Kiev-15 TTL no.8003308 with 4 lenses: MIR-1 2.8/37mm no.8003308, Helios-81 2/53mm no.8003308, Jupiter-9 2/85mm no.8003308, Jupiter-11 4/135mm no.8003308. All lenses and the camera body are engraved with the same number, with sickle and hammer symbols and 'L.I.Brezhnev 75 Years'. The camera, the lenses and two filters are mounted on a substantial black aluminium display plate that was milled from the solid. The set was made in honour of Leonid Brezhnev and should have been a gift on the celebration of his 75th birthday at the Arsenal works of Kiev on December 19th,1981. Brezhnev at the time was Head of State as well as First Secretary of the Communist Party of the USSR. Some time before his 75th birthday Brezhnev's health was undermined by a stroke and he passed away in 1982 without coming to Kiev to receive his present. The set remained at the factory, where it was eventually sold after the changes of 1989 and subsequently came to the West - a unique landmark of Russian camera industry
