IIIc/72 half-frame

18x24mm, filmcounter 1-75, frame-mask for 18x24mm inside the viewfinder, halframe prototype based ona Leica IIIc, produced around 1945.The camera war recently discovered and is one of three examples manufatured. Current research (backed up by photo-graphs of the camera mechanism), by Leica expert Ottmar Michaely from Wetzlar, has uncovered docu-ments relating to this important camera. (ref: Wilhelm Albert, Geburtstage der Leitz-Foto-Konstruktionen, page 65). The other known cameras are no. 397604 (see Lager I, page 81), no. 397606 (ref: v.Hasbroeck, page 119).
