An extremely rare ultra-wide-angle prototype lens with a 12cm focal length and an approximately 160° field of view. This unique construction features a large 21.5cm plano (flat) front element and an image circle of around 26 cm. It is in very good condition.
Only one Sphaerogon 7/12cm is listed in Thiele's Fabrication Book, bearing the serial number 1756712. The offered example is the second known to exist.
