Bertsch Megascope Lens
brass projection lens for the Bertsch Megascope (Solarscope) 'enlarger' with rack and pinion focusing. Adolph Bertsch is best known for his Chambre Automatique, an all-metal wet-collodion camera which he demonstrated to the Société Francaise de Photographie in 1860. In order to enlarge the quite small negatives he designed the Magnascope solar enlarger in the same year.
